A quick clarification first: “drip pricing” is also the name of a consumer-protection issue, where a business advertises a low price and adds mandatory fees later. If that’s what you were searching for, the FTC has published on it. This page is about Drip, the ecommerce email platform, and what it costs.
Drip’s pricing is simple: one plan, every feature, priced by how many people are on your list. Prices below come from drip.com/pricing, checked in September 2026.
How much does Drip cost?
As of September 2026, Drip costs $39 a month for up to 2,500 people, $89 for 5,000, $154 for 10,000, $369 for 25,000 and $699 for 50,000. There’s one plan, so every price includes the full feature set, and email sends are unlimited up to 30,000 people. There’s no free plan, but there is a 14-day free trial.
Drip’s FAQ says your cost is based on the number of active people in your account and the volume of emails you send.

The hidden costs in Drip pricing
Send caps above 30,000 people
Unlimited sending stops at 30,000 people. From the 30,001 to 32,500 tier upward, the calculator shows a monthly allowance of 12 times the top of your tier (390,000 emails at 32,500 people; 600,000 at 50,000). That’s plenty for most stores, but check it if you mail daily through Q4.
Workflow limit
Every plan includes up to 50 workflows. That’s enough for a thorough ecommerce programme, but agencies and multi-brand operators should count.
No SMS on the pricing page
Drip’s pricing page lists email, onsite campaigns and social. If you want SMS, budget for a separate tool, and for the work of keeping two customer profiles in sync.
Support tiers
Email support is included for all paying customers. Live chat support starts at the $99-a-month plans.
Trial limits
Unlimited email isn’t available during the 14-day trial, and if the trial lapses without an upgrade, your forms and campaigns pause.

| Omnisend Standard | $132 | No, SMS needs Pro (new accounts) |

At this size the ecommerce platforms sit within about $20 of each other. The choice is about channels, data and how the tool fits your team.
When Drip is cheaper than Klaviyo, and when Klaviyo pays for itself
Drip is a sensible choice when:
- You’re email-only. With no SMS needed, Drip’s list-based price with unlimited sends (up to 30,000 people) is good value.
- You send a lot. Unlimited email up to 30,000 people is generous; Klaviyo includes ten times your profile count.
- You like one simple plan. No tiers, no feature gating.
Klaviyo pays for itself when:
- You want email and SMS together. One profile, one flow builder, one attribution model. See our Klaviyo SMS pricing guide.
- Segmentation depth matters. Klaviyo’s predictive analytics (next order date, churn risk, lifetime value) are native, and they’re what power replenishment and win-back flows for repeat-purchase brands such as supplements.
- You want a large integration and agency ecosystem. Klaviyo’s pricing page lists 350+ integrations, covering reviews, loyalty, subscriptions and helpdesk tools.
- Your list is clean. Klaviyo bills on active profiles, so a regular list clean narrows or erases Drip’s price advantage. Our Klaviyo pricing guide explains how.
The price gap between Drip and Klaviyo is small at most list sizes; the decision should come down to channels and data, not $30 a month. Our Klaviyo vs Drip comparison covers the features side, and our Klaviyo alternatives guide puts both in context.
Moving from Drip to Klaviyo
If you’re on Drip and want SMS, predictive segments or a bigger integration ecosystem, our Klaviyo agency team migrates your people, consent history and workflows and rebuilds them on Klaviyo’s data model. Not sure the move pays back? Get a free audit and we’ll give you a straight answer.

/ Frequently Asked Questions
Q.01 How much does Drip cost? +
/ Answer
As of September 2026, Drip has one plan priced by the number of people on your list. It starts at $39 a month for up to 2,500 people, then $89 at 5,000, $154 at 10,000, $369 at 25,000 and $699 at 50,000 people. Lists above about 175,000 people are quoted. Every price includes the full feature set.
Q.02 Does Drip have a free plan? +
/ Answer
No. Drip offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card required, as of September 2026, but no free plan. During the trial you can use Drip's features except unlimited email sends. If the trial ends without an upgrade, your account becomes inactive and active forms and campaigns pause until you choose a paid plan.
Q.03 How much does it cost to send 1,000 emails with Drip? +
/ Answer
Drip doesn't charge per email. Up to 30,000 people, every plan includes unlimited email sends, so the cost per 1,000 emails falls the more you send. Above 30,000 people, Drip's calculator shows a monthly send allowance of 12 times your list tier, such as 600,000 emails for 45,001 to 50,000 people, as of September 2026.
Q.04 Is Drip cheaper than Klaviyo? +
/ Answer
It depends on list size. As of September 2026, Drip was cheaper at 2,500 people ($39 against Klaviyo's $60), 5,000 ($89 against $100), 25,000 ($369 against $400) and 50,000 ($699 against $720), and slightly dearer at 10,000 ($154 against $150). Drip includes unlimited sends up to 30,000 people; Klaviyo includes ten times your profile count.
Q.05 Does Drip offer SMS? +
/ Answer
Drip's pricing page, as of September 2026, lists email, onsite campaigns and social as its channels, and doesn't list SMS. If SMS is part of your plan, you'd need a separate SMS tool alongside Drip, or a platform like Klaviyo or Omnisend that includes SMS on the same customer profile.
Q.06 How much does email marketing typically cost? +
/ Answer
For an ecommerce store with 5,000 to 10,000 contacts, platform fees typically run from about $50 to $160 a month on the tools we've priced, as of September 2026: Drip $89 to $154, Klaviyo $100 to $150, Mailchimp Standard $100 to $135 and MailerLite Comfort $49 to $89. Design, strategy and agency support are separate and can cost more than the software.
